A Jazzy Afternoon with WVC

It was a pretty good year in 2016 having WVC, one of our country’s most renown jazz band to conduct a recital workshop at Mega Music World. Mr Tay Cher Siang, the pianist and the band leader humbly explain how they approach any pop songs to make it more interesting. Go ahead and watch the video to know more. 

This performance was multi-track recorded using Mackie DL32R Digital Wireless Mixer. We are using direct connection from the mixer to MacBook and record the entire performance, raw, into Logic Pro DAW. At the same time, we still able to mix the front of house sound for the audience to enjoy the live. We did all the controls using iPad wirelessly. We did our mixing after the show and synchronise it with video file that we took mostly using smart phone. 

Audio technology has come a long way to this point where we can embrace the high tech features that it offers. Having said that, audio technical can be simplified while more energy and be focus on producing the best performance.
