Dream Project 2020 – Coldplay Fix You
Dream Project is our school initiation to gather our students, teachers and friends to take part in making music together while practicing social distancing.
We’ve chosen Fix You by Coldplay as a mean to fix the hearts of the people during this pandemic, which has caused great economical instability and the worst of all, worry for the health of our families. Only the light of love of kindness can fix this world, and it will eventually fix you too.
This music video was recorded mostly with phones with given instructions. Other than having our beloved Malaysian students to join us, we are honour to have our students from Shenzhen & Beijing China, Okinawa Japan, Singapore and Medan Indonesia. Surely it was a uniting experience.
When come to the audio mixing part, there are so much of editing need to be done due to all the inconsistent tracks that we received from every individuals. The most time consuming work is pitch corrections, time corrections and tonnes of EQ works due to many tracks from variety of source.
Another heavy work fall on video editing. Although editing technique are rather straight forward but having hundreds of participant will make things complicated. We do plan ahead very carefully the file managements, the shots, the featured personal and etc so that we would save time on the editing part.
All-in-all, everything goes well and everyone is happy with the results.
