Sin Yen Lee started to learn the piano at the age of 4 and started the violin at 10. In 2015, she completed Grade 8 for both violin and piano performance from the ABRSM examination. Subsequently, she completed Foundation in Music in 2018, and Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons.) in 2021 at UCSI University, Malaysia, under the UCSI University Trust Scholarship. She is a classical violin major, under the tutelage of Dr. Chia-Chien Goh. 

Sin Yen had the opportunities to do masterclasses with Evgeny Zvonnikov, assistant professor of violin at West Texas A&M University, the United States; Dr. Vincent Heng-Chen Chao from New Chia Yi University, Taiwan; and Mr Fung Chern Hwei. She has had the opportunities to play alongside high profile musicians such as Andrzej Grabiec, Albert Tiu, and Ergys Koni.

Sin Yen was invited to perform Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto in the Land of Adventures concert held in 2023, alongside with the Philomusica String Orchestra. Besides, she was the featured soloist of the World’s First Live 4-Violin Canon of Niccolò Paganini Caprice No. 24 in Oh Georgia concert 2022. She was also accepted by the Clazz International Music Festival in Italy twice, and won the first prize of Clazz International Festival Scholarship Audition 2022. She is actively performing in wedding dinners, anniversary events, product launching events as well.

Driven by her passion and dedication, Sin Yen is actively nurturing music enthusiasts to help awakening their music potential. She received Extraordinary Dedication and Achievement in Teaching of Music of 8th Singapore Raffles International Music Competition in 2022. Her students were featured soloists in various performances, and accomplished great achievements in competitions held in Malaysia and Singapore. Her students come from various countries which include Malaysia, China, Korea, United States, Netherlands, and India. Furthermore, she was appointed as assistant conductor, representing the NGO – The Philomusica Society, to assist the orchestra from House of Violin, Bukit Jalil, Malaysia.

Her heart of appreciating art also leads her into bow making and restoration field industry. She had the honor to participate in a bow making project, with a French Archetier Mr. Manuel Ruhlmann.
