From a young age, music became second nature to Andrew from taking up piano lessons until the age of 15. Andrew discovered his love for singing in his teen years and later honed his talent under Joanne Poh before studying at UCSI University under the guidance of Brandon Wong, Ian Lim and Gan Hui Wan. Andrew is regularly and passionately serving in the music ministry on weekends in a youth congregation. He studied and graduated in UCSI with a Bachelor in Contemporary Music (Vocals) in April 2018.
Andrew enjoys performing and writing songs in the church, indie/folk, country, soul and pop genres and has written some of his own songs, “You” being one of them. Since his university years, Andrew had opportunities to play and sing for different occasions such as a Jogathon Race, RTM1 Christmas program, 8tv program show “I Can See Your Voice”, etc. He has also been actively involved in choral singing performance with the Dithyrambic Singers from his early university years.
Andrew has an easy-going, friendly personality and makes it comfortable for students to be themselves and communicate in class. Without doubt, he wants to make a difference in the lives of people through music, specifically Christian music. Inspired by bands such as Elevation and Passion, he intends to make his own footprints to touch hearts and lives as he believes music is a way through which everyone can share their story.
