Iven, a dynamic music teacher, discovered his passion for music at a young age. Inspired by Jay Chou’s electrifying live performance at the age of 4, he embarked on a musical journey that would shape his life. At 8, he began his formal training in piano, developing a deep love for classical and jazz music while immersing himself in the whimsical world of Tom and Jerry and The Pink Panther.

With over 7 years of teaching experience, Iven’s dedication to music education is unwavering. Holding an ARBSM Grade 8 in piano, he started teaching in 2016. Alongside his piano expertise, Iven also embraced the trumpet as his second instrument at 13, participating in wind orchestras and jazz bands.

Iven pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Pedagogy at the University of Science Malaysia, balancing his studies with a Piano Diploma from the London College of Music. After graduating from his Bachelor degree in 2022, he decided to pursue his Master of Performing Arts in Music at the University of Malaya.

Known for his dynamic teaching approach, Iven believes in the joy and creativity that music brings. With a “work hard, play hard” mentality, he is committed to unlocking the joy and creativity that music brings to his students.
